MY WRITING EXPERIENCE:

* Began writing at an early age: My first poem was written in Elementary School. Began keeping a journal/diary while in Jr. High School. Compiled/edited my own “newspaper” to share with family. Developed a deeper interest for writing poetry, essays and fictional stories while in High School.

* 1986, Received 1st place for a High School essay contest about America’s public schools. The essay was published in the local newspaper.

* 1989, Article published in my college newspaper, titled "We Must Make the First Move."

* December 1996 - August 1998, Compiled/Edited monthly newsletter for the nursing home where I worked as a Payroll Clerk/Secretary. Wrote numerous articles for the newsletter, as well.

* 1997, Wrote three separate articles for the children’s page of Meadowbrook Baptist Church website.

* 1998, Article published in “Domestique” magazine, titled, "An Enchanting Date with My Spouse."

* July 1999 - April 2001, Compiled and edited the monthly newsletter for Meadowbrook Baptist Church. Wrote numerous articles, as well.

* December 2000 & March 2001, Letters to the Editor published in “HomeLife Magazine.”

* December 2000, Advice clip published in “Happiness,” a weekly TV magazine.

* September & October 2001, Advice clips (“Swap Shop”) published in “ParentLife Magazine.”

* June 2002 - December 2003, Part time Church Secretary for Meadowbrook Baptist Church, which included producing a monthly newsletter, as well as weekly bulletins.

* January 2005, Participated (on page 204) in the book, "Autism - Heartfelt Thoughts from Mothers,” by Judy Lynne

* June 2009, Self-published a children’s book on LuLu.com titled: “What is Communion?” http://stores.lulu.com/victoriastankus

* June 2009, Started my blog pages.

* March 2010, Article published in Homeschool Enrichment Magazine: "Raising Elizabeth"

* June 2010 - Began writing book reviews on my main blog for various publishing companies.

* February 2012 - Wrote two articles for Eternal Encouragement ETC (an online magazine) under the masthead of "God Blesses This House but He Doesn't Clean it."

* July 2014 - Article published in Homeschool Enrichment Magazine: "Accomplishing Goals Through Schedules and Routines."
