Author Fair in Charleston, IL

If you will be anywhere near the Charleston, IL area this coming Sunday (November 9th), please stop by the Charleston Carnegie Public Library between 1:00 and 3:00 p.m. for their first "Friends of the Library Author Fair." My family and I will be there with a table, presenting What is Communion?, as well as a new book I recently published:  A Picnic Snack.

This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Over a dozen Central IL authors are planning to be on hand with their books. This could be a great opportunity to get some of your Christmas shopping started! My family and I would love to see you there!

A Review from A Friend

M. Lee wrote:

This book is a good tool for parents as they begin discussions with their children about communion. It is particularly useful for young children and for individuals with special needs as well. The author breaks the ideas down into smaller, simpler concepts--generally one or two sentences per page--that a parent can move through at their own pace. The illustrations are strategically black and white so that they are not visually distracting.

As far as the spiritual content covered, the book is explains the "why" of communion as well as the "what", by outlining God's plan of salvation and His love for mankind. Spiritually, it is complete on the subject, yet age-appropriate.

My children enjoyed this book and understood its concepts. I definitely recommend it.
